Our office is open Monday-Saturday except on 7 of the 10 federal holidays, some of which are half days. See details below for our full holiday schedule. We are open on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Columbus Day, and Veterans Day. Call 301-881-7995 to schedule an appointment.
Regular Business Hours
We are closed for lunch from 1pm-2pm. Our receptionists are available anytime between 8:30am-5:00pm during the week and 8:30am-12:00pm on Saturday.
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday: 8:00-8:30am
You must arrive by 8:30 in order to be seen. After that, we will schedule a sick appointment for you that day. These visits are on a first come/first serve basis, so there may be a wait if you arrive toward the end of the half hour. We do the best we can to minimize your wait by having multiple doctors available, but your patience is appreciated!
There are no walk-in hours on Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday.
Walk-in visits are for established patients. New patients will be fit into the regular schedule for that day.
Saturday and Walk in visits are for urgent matters only. If your child has a longstanding concern, please make a scheduled appointment. This ensures that we have plenty of time with you to address a chronic condition.
When the office is closed, a physician from our office is always available to answer urgent questions and respond to emergencies. The “on-call” physician may be reached by calling our office at 301-881-7995, or our answering service at 240-638-9735. The physician will return your call as soon as possible, but always within 1 hour. In the event that you have not received a return call within 1 hour, please call back, as we may have received an incorrect number or had difficulty getting in touch with you.
We ask that you are considerate and use good judgment in calling after hours. We are happy to respond to your call regarding acute illness or emergency. Non-urgent calls, however, detract from the service we can provide others with urgent concerns.
If you are dealing with a life-threatening emergency, please call 911 for an ambulance or go directly to the closest emergency room. The emergency room physician will communicate with us so that we can coordinate your child’s care. In the event of ingestion of a poisonous or unusual substance, please call the poison control center at (800)-222-1222 immediately. After that you can call our on-call physician.
